Amina Knowlan, MS

Lead Trainer, Consultant, Founder & Director - Boulder, CO

Amina cofounded Matrix Leadership in 1990 (previously Group Leadership Training). She has been facilitating groups and trainings for 30 years. She considers herself a social artist and works as a trainer, facilitator, consultant and spiritual-somatic life coach. She was a trainer for the Hakomi Institute of Body-Centered Psychotherapy for 15 years and an owner/practitioner in Wellspring, Partners in Health (a holistic medical clinic) for 15 years. She incorporates somatic, energetic and intuitive approaches as well as dance, movement, voice, art and practices of mindfulness into her work. She also leads retreats for women entitled Fully Embodied Woman: Remembering the Sacred Feminine. Amina has two children and lives in the beautiful mountain foothills of Boulder, Colorado.

Carol Jungman, MSOD

Trainer, Consultant & Organizer - Evanston, IL

Carol is a Cross-Cultural Training Consultant, Cendant Mobility Organization Development Consultant and Facilitator, and Matrix Leadership facilitator. Carol has been with Matrix Leadership/GLT since 1998. She has over 13 years of experience managing and training within the intercultural and organizational development fields. Carol has facilitated and co-created individual, couple, family and specialized group programs for Fortune 1000 companies and has designed and led staff retreats and strategic planning sessions for small and mid-size businesses and not-for-profits. She was also a leader in the Chicago Psychology Network for several years. Prior to that, Carol lived and worked in Finland and Israel, and traveled extensively throughout Europe. She received her Bachelors degree in business and journalism and her Masters degree in organization development. She is married and has two young children.

Ling Thio, MS

Facilitator & Organizer - Sunnyvale, CA

Ling is a scientist, spiritual explorer and community builder. A personal awakening in the late 1990s ignited his passion for fostering personal growth and social transformation. Ling is a Facilitator for Matrix Leadership Institute, a student of Hakomi, and a Somatic Experiencing trainee. He lives in Sunnyvale and open-heartedly builds sustainable communities in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Jody Gold, MSOD

Consultant, Trainer, Social Architect - Boulder, CO

Jody completed the Matrix Leadership Comprehensive Training in 2014 and has an MS in Organization Development from Pepperdine University. He is a graduate of the two-year Hakomi Therapy Training through Mindful Experiential Therapy in Portland. Jody majored in East Asian Studies at Yale and has lived in China for several years. Jody coaches leadership professionals and consults with organizations working to solve vexing challenges. He also taught elementary and middle school kids for a decade. "I am committed to environmental, economic, and emotional sustainability," Jody said. "I believe equipping people in families, groups, and teams connect more deeply with themselves, with each other, and with what is possible is the key."

Lauren Golten, MS, MA

Trainer, Facilitator - Boulder, CO

Lauren is a nature-based psychotherapist grounded in many years of practicing Buddhism & mindfulness. She also has a background in field biology and natural history. She received her MA in Counseling Psychology from the Wilderness Therapy Program at Naropa University in 2012, completed the two-year Hakomi Therapy Training through the Hakomi Institute in 2013, and completed the Matrix Leadership Comprehensive Training in 2014. Lauren has a private practice in Boulder as a nature-based therapist and facilitator-working with groups as well as individuals. She delights in expanding participant's connections with themselves, with others, and with the natural world.
